The aim of this project is to increase energy efficiency within the Regional Government Administration, with the resulting energy, emissions and financial savings, by replacing conventional luminaires with more efficient LED ones and installing presence detection and regulation systems.

The IBE has 10M euros to carry out these actions in a centralised manner under the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU funds.

Funding avenues are currently being explored in order to continue with the actions, once the execution period of the PITEIB funds has ended.
